Space and shape
The size of the plot, its boundaries and how the house sits on it decide where lawn, paths and seating can go.

A complete landscape brings together lawns, planting, pathways, shade and places to sit. We shape each part around your plot, your home and the way you want to use the outdoors.
We design the space before we build it, so you can see and refine the plan first. This page explains what we look at and what you can expect at each step.
From bare ground to breathing space
Drag the sunlit marker across the image to reveal the transformation. Every project starts with the character of its own site.

Step one
Six things shape every landscape. We look at all of them during the first site visit.
The size of the plot, its boundaries and how the house sits on it decide where lawn, paths and seating can go.
Slopes, levels and the condition of the soil affect how we shape beds, lay lawn and plan planting.
Rain and irrigation water need a clear way out. We plan drainage and water points before planting begins.
Hours of sun and exposure to wind guide plant choices and the best spots for seating and shade.
Healthy trees and plants are worth keeping. We design around them wherever it makes sense.
Entry points, boundary walls, utilities and how materials reach the site all shape the plan and the schedule.
Step two
We start with how you want to spend time outside, then bring together planting, paths and places to gather.
Talk through your ideasFront yard planting and pathways that give the home a warm first impression.
Lawn and beds sized for children, pets, morning tea and weekend family time.
Seating, shade and pergolas placed where the light and views are best.
Lighting and focal points, such as water or stone, that make the garden enjoyable after sunset.
Step three
Most projects combine several of these. We help you choose the mix that suits your space.
Planting, lawn and paths that add charm and curb appeal to the entrance.

Step four
These are examples we commonly consider. The final list depends on your sun, soil, city and how much upkeep you want.
Natural lawn grass, ornamental grasses, lantana and other low plants that cover soil and soften edges.
Hibiscus, ixora, bougainvillea, duranta and bamboo for privacy, structure and colour.
Champa, bottle palm, ashoka and fruit trees such as guava or lemon, placed where they have room to grow.
Roses, jasmine, chrysanthemum, marigold and seasonal flowers for colour through the year.
Tip: we choose plants that suit your local climate and the upkeep time you have, and we keep large trees clear of boundary walls, drains and the house foundation.

How we work
You tell us how you want to use the space, your budget range and how much upkeep you want to take on.
We look at the plot, levels, soil, drainage, sun, existing plants and access, then take measurements.
You review a layout showing lawn, planting, paths, seating, lighting and materials, and we refine it with you.
Levelling, soil preparation, drainage and irrigation lines go in before any planting.
Hardscape, lawn, trees, shrubs and flower beds are installed in sequence, with lighting and features.
We walk you through watering, feeding and seasonal care, and stay available for guidance and on-site maintenance.
Budget and timing
Every site is different, so we quote after seeing it. These are the factors that move the number.
Before you call
